The Lou Conte Dance Studio, the public and pre-professional school of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, is kicking off another fall with an Open House this Sunday, September 20 from 11:00am-2:00pm at 1147 West Jackson Boulevard. Free beginner classes will be offered in ballet, modern, jazz, yoga, Pilates, hip hop, African and tap, taught by members of LCDS’ huge and accomplished faculty. New classes on tap for the season will be previewed including BeMoved, created by director/choreographer Sherry Zunker for adults without formal training (genius, that) and Creative Movement Youth Dance Classes for children ages 9 months to 13 years.
No pre-registration is required — Sunday’s classes are free and attendees will receive a pass that allows them to take their next two classes for the price of one. The event will also include a raffle for LCDS Class Cards, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago merchandise and other swag — purchase tickets at the event or, if you’re stopping by this week, in advance at the LCDS front desk.
